American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) : Division of World Missions. Financial Records, Publications, and Subject Files 1957-1975.

The collection consists of financial records, publications, and subject files. The financial records include audits, budgets, and financial statements. Publications include stories (published and unpublished), leaflets, booklets (in Amharic and other unidentified Ethiopian languages), and periodical articles. The subject files include plans, reports, and correspondence related to special projects and institutions. Some of these are joint seminary and literature work done cooperatively with other missions, the Good Shepherd School for missionary children, the Ethiopian Evangelical College, and station reports. The records were collected by administrators of the Division of World Missions. These administrators were Executive Directors Theodore P. Fricke and Morris A. Sorenson, Jr., and Secretaries for Africa and Madagascar Lowell Hesterman and James L. Knutson.

The American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) was formed by the merger of the American Lutheran Church (1930-1960), the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church.
